How to Add a Subdomain in Webflow
Learn how to add a subdomain (blog., app.) to your Webflow project with a CNAME record.
In this tutorial, Sandro, cofounder of Gemeos Webflow agency, shows you how to add a subdomain (blog.mysite.com, app.mysite.com) to your Webflow project.
1. Add the subdomain in Webflow
In Publishing > Custom Domains, click Add Domain and enter your full subdomain (for example: blog.mysite.com). Webflow generates the CNAME record you need to create with your registrar.
2. Create the CNAME record with your registrar
In your registrar, create a CNAME record: Name = blog (or your subdomain prefix), Value = proxy.webflow.com. Save it and wait for DNS propagation (15 min to 24h).
3. Verify and publish
Back in Webflow Publishing, click Check DNS for the subdomain. Once it's validated, publish to that domain. SSL is generated automatically.
Conclusion
Webflow subdomains are set up exactly like primary domains. See also: connect a domain name on Webflow.
