How to Import CSV Content into the Webflow CMS
Learn how to bulk import content into the Webflow CMS with a CSV file: format, field mapping, and images.
In this tutorial, Sandro, cofounder of Gemeos Webflow agency, shows you how to bulk import content into the Webflow CMS using a CSV file.
1. Prepare your CSV file
Create a CSV file with one column per CMS field. The first row should contain headers that match the field names in Webflow exactly. UTF-8 encoding is required for accented characters.
2. Start the import
In the CMS Editor (the pencil icon at the top right of the Designer), select your collection and click Import. Upload your CSV. Webflow shows a preview of how your columns map to the CMS fields.
3. Map the columns to the fields
If the column names don't match the field names exactly, Webflow gives you a mapping interface. Match each CSV column to the corresponding CMS field.
4. Review and import
Webflow shows you a data preview. Check that the values are formatted correctly, especially dates and images (direct image URL). Click Import to start the bulk import.
Conclusion
Webflow CSV import lets you create hundreds of items in just a few minutes. To export: export Webflow CMS data.
