How to Publish Your Webflow Site
Learn how to publish your Webflow site on the free subdomain or on your custom domain.
In this tutorial, Sandro, cofounder of the Gemeos Webflow agency, shows you how to publish your Webflow site on your own domain or on the free .webflow.io domain.
1. Publish to the free Webflow subdomain
In the Designer, click the Publish button in the top right. Select webflow.io subdomain, then click Publish to selected domains. Your site will be live instantly at your-project.webflow.io.
2. Publish to your custom domain
To publish to a custom domain, it has to be connected in Publishing first. When you publish, check your custom domain in the list. Webflow publishes to all selected domains at the same time.
3. Manage updates
Every change in the Designer needs a new publish. CMS changes, like adding or editing items, are published separately through the CMS publish button. The two are independent.
Conclusion
Webflow publishing is instant once DNS is set up. For custom domains: connect a domain name.
