How to Generate and Submit a Webflow Sitemap to Google
Learn how to generate and submit your Webflow sitemap to Google Search Console to improve indexing.
In this tutorial, Sandro, cofounder of the Gemeos Webflow agency, shows you how to generate and submit your Webflow sitemap to Google Search Console.
1. The sitemap is generated automatically
Webflow automatically generates an XML sitemap for all projects published on a custom domain. You can access it at votre-domaine.fr/sitemap.xml. It includes all your published pages and CMS pages, along with their last modified dates.
2. Exclude pages from the sitemap
To exclude a page from the sitemap, go to Page Settings > SEO and enable "Exclude from sitemap". Handy for confirmation pages, privacy policy pages, and utility pages.
3. Submit it to Google Search Console
In Google Search Console, go to Index > Sitemaps. In the "Add a new sitemap" field, enter sitemap.xml and click Submit. Google starts crawling it within the next few hours.
Conclusion
The Webflow sitemap is automatic and always up to date. Submit it to Search Console once, and you're done.
