Cercle des Langues × Gemeos

Le Cercle des Langues is a French EdTech company founded in 2019, specializing in online English training for individuals and businesses. Gemeos supports them as an outsourced team across their entire digital stack: design, Webflow development, and SEO strategy.

An outsourced team to run the website of a fast-growing EdTech company

With 15,000+ students trained and 180+ certified teachers, Cercle des Langues has become a benchmark for online English learning in France. Their challenge: keep evolving a dense Webflow site with high-stakes SEO and conversion goals — without an in-house digital team.

For over a year, Gemeos has acted as Cercle’s outsourced Design & Tech team: redesigning key pages, building Webflow integrations, running a technical SEO audit, continuously improving internal linking and structured data, and handling product design for the platform’s tools and screens. A long-term partnership built to support Cercle’s growth goals.

UX / UI Design

Cercle des Langues operates in a competitive market where every visit counts. Gemeos steps in on the design side with a CRO mindset: every page we ship is built to smooth the user journey and maximize contact requests and sign-ups.

Design built for conversion

Every mockup follows a strict checklist: a clear page goal, CTAs placed above the fold and at the bottom of the page, action-driven copy, and social proof woven into key steps of the journey. The design adapts to the target user profile — including less digitally savvy audiences — without visual clutter or gimmicky elements.

Brand tone and identity

The design work fits within Cercle des Langues’ existing brand guidelines. The visual tone feels premium, human, and professional: authentic photos, readable typography, and a clear information hierarchy. Visuals are always checked for consistency with the copy and the brand positioning.

CRO & A/B tests

A CRO dashboard is kept up to date at all times. A/B tests are run on high-impact elements: forms, headlines, CTA placement. Improving the bottom-of-page booking form is one of the key initiatives identified and tackled.

Product Design

Beyond the marketing site, Gemeos stepped in on the interactive tools and product screens for the Cercle des Langues platform.

Interactive learning tools

Gemeos designed several online training tools, including an interactive dictation tool. The experience covers every interface state: intro screen with entry CTA, listening phase with audio player and input field, results screen with instant feedback, and end-of-session screen. Each state was built to reduce cognitive friction and encourage repetition — fully aligned with Cercle’s learning model.

Platform screen redesign

The course library screens were redesigned to improve readability and navigation across a dense catalog: 600+ modules organized by theme (Nature, Business, Grammar, Geography…), CEFR levels (A1 to C1), and course type (private lessons, e-learning, collaborative). Two display modes were developed — grid view for discovery, list view for management — with progress indicators by category and a module assignment system. The mockups cover desktop and mobile, with bottom tab navigation on smaller screens.

Product Design Deliverable Details
Interactive dictation tool 4 interface states: intro, listening, results, end of session

Webflow Build

The Cercle des Langues site is a complex Webflow build: dozens of pages, multiple CMS collections (articles, courses, teachers, exercises), forms, local pages, and a steady stream of technical fixes and improvements. Gemeos steps in as the ongoing dev team.

Integrations & technical fixes

Sprint after sprint, the dev team handled every issue flagged by the SEO audit and monitoring: bulk 301 redirects, fixes for 404 and 500 URLs, removal of duplicate H1s and broken Hn hierarchy, and cleanup of repeated Hn tags on article templates. Every fix is coordinated with the SEO team to keep everything aligned.

Forms & interactions

Contact and booking request forms were set up with post-submit redirects, confirmation messages, and notification emails. Animations and transitions — hover, fade-in — are checked across every browser. The burger menu and forms are tested and approved on mobile.

Performance & maintainability

Images are optimized for size and format, lazy loading is in place, and the code stays lean to keep load times under 3 seconds on desktop and mobile. The Webflow structure stays clean so the Cercle team can keep full ownership of editorial updates.

SEO

Cercle des Langues is competing in a brutal search landscape — English CPF training, online English courses, TOEIC certification, and more. Gemeos’s SEO strategy rests on a strong technical foundation, a rigorous semantic architecture, and ongoing editorial production to build site authority and drive qualified traffic.

Technical Audit & Fixes

We ran a full technical SEO audit upfront and prioritized every issue by impact. The fixes were coordinated with the dev team: unjustified no-index tags on legal pages (E-E-A-T impact), cascading Hn tags, pagination without a proper canonical, 404 pages flagged by Google, images missing alt attributes, and broken links to outdated domains.

Semantic Architecture & Internal Linking

We audited and reworked the site’s internal linking. Business pages — especially training pages — weren’t getting enough internal links, which was directly holding back rankings. We planned a full linking overhaul by segment — homepage, training landing pages, blog, local pages — to push SEO value toward the priority URLs. The footer was expanded with key training pages and high-value blog articles.

Structured Data (Schema.org)

We implemented structured data across every page type on the site to strengthen semantic understanding for search engines and language models (LLMs): Organization on the homepage, Course on training pages, EducationalOrganization on local pages, BlogPosting on articles, and EducationalOccupationalProgram on exercises. This structured coverage improves how generative AI systems read the site (GEO) and increases the odds of appearing in conversational assistant responses.

Editorial Production & GEO Optimization

Blog production is guided by a dedicated GPT built for internal linking. Every article is structured to target identified queries, with the right Hn hierarchy and conversational content designed to be cited by LLMs. Search Console is split into FR/EN views for precise performance analysis by market.
